Carla Scagliola, entrepreneur of Pilates Studio in Reus, tells us her story.
We met Carla Scagliola, @carla.scagliola on Instagram, thanks to Lara López, a friend and photographer.
Carla has spoken to us about the potential of pilates for our health.
She is a woman and an entrepreneurial mother of only 42 years old but she claims to move and feel as if she were 20.
14 years ago she opened her Pilates Studio in the city of Reus, Tarragona, focusing on the art of Contrology (Classical Pilates Method).
What led Carla to start pilates?
Carla started pilates in 2010, after suffering long periods of lower back pain due to three hernias in the area.
After extensive training in Barcelona and the USA, she says that Pilates not only helped her with her pathology, but also reminded her of her years of classical dance. This is what inspired her to open her Studio.

Carla uses Contrology. It is a training method that makes you strong from the inside out. By training in this way, she assures that you will improve your posture, feel more vital and have less pain, allowing you to enjoy a normal life. Which is no small feat!
Follow the method as Joseph created it. He listens to each person and personalizes the session, giving them the exercises their body needs.
“In ten sessions you will FEEL the difference. In twenty sessions you will SEE the difference. In thirty sessions your body will CHANGE.”
Carla says that Pilates is more than just a physical practice. After just a few sessions, you will see that your way of walking, sitting and moving changes. You will even notice that your mood improves.

Carla says that during a pilates session it is important to create a pleasant space. Music should only be in the background and clothing should be light and loose.
One of her secrets is aromatherapy . In her classes she often introduces the power of aromatherapy with our Flores del Norte home line .
She uses it in many ways. For example, when beginning the first breaths, incorporating an essence that helps with concentration, calm, or energy, depending on the student's state at that moment.

She also uses the air purifier on the devices or mats. She does this to clean the space after the sessions or even before, due to its restorative power.
To achieve this, she relies on our ingredients such as vegetal alcohol and extracts of pine, cypress, eucalyptus, thyme and sage. In this way, she manages to create a pleasant space in which to welcome her students.
