Why you should normalize hair loss in autumn

Por qué deberías normalizar que el pelo se te caiga en otoño - Nasei

The first thing you need to know is that The hair does not fall out, it regenerates.

On this basis, in principle, there is no reason to be scared when you find hair all over the house.

Nor when it falls out “by the handful” when you run your hand through your hair, no matter how annoying it is.

Losing between 100 and 150 hairs a day is natural.

Especially in autumn.

Although you should keep in mind that hair does not fall out in one day, but rather it can stay stuck to the scalp and come off when you wash or comb it, causing the number to vary from day to day.

Hair is not eternal

This is what we mean when we say that hair loss as such does not exist.

If not, what each of your hair does is complete its life cycle (just like people and the leaves on trees).

Of course, at your own pace.

So the same thing happens with relationships, which do not always coincide at the same vital moment.

Therefore, while some hair falls out, others begin to grow.

Each hair has its own rhythm and not all hair goes through the same phases at the same time.

You know those short hairs that you see shooting up when you look at yourself in the mirror against the light? They are new hairs that are coming out.

The hair is born, anchored to the root through the hair bulb, nourished, strengthened and dies.

This is when it comes off and makes room for new hair.

Hair cycles: anagen, catagen and telogen phase

These are the stages your hair goes through:

Anagen phase

It is the growth phase, when the follicle is healthy and the cells are at full capacity.

They accumulate at the roots of the scalp and push the hair outward, causing it to grow.

This cycle lasts between 2 and 7 years, at an average growth of 1 cm per month.

catagen phase

The moment in which the hair stops growing and begins to detach little by little from the root.

Cell activity begins to slow down.

Lasts between 2 and 3 weeks. This is when the dermis stops producing melanin and you notice that your hair becomes thicker.

Telogen phase

At this stage, the follicle is in a resting phase.

It is when your hair falls out and makes way for the entire cycle to begin again.

This phase lasts between 2 and 3 months.

While The entire life cycle of a hair takes between 2 and 8 years to complete.

This is the reason why people with long or voluminous hair lose more hair.

These are all fibers that have already completed their cycle.

Why does hair fall more in autumn?

Sunlight promotes growth. That's why in summer hair seems to be stronger and grows faster.

However, with the arrival of autumn and less exposure to the sun, production slows down.

The key is in the sun and biology.

Some theories argue that this has to do with our animal origin. And hair renewal in autumn is related to hibernation and the need to get a good coat for the cold season.

It is normal that in spring you see more small hairs than we were talking about before. They are those who fell in the fall that begin to be born again.

When should I start worrying?

More than seeing hair everywhere, what is significant is that you start to notice bald spots.

If after a while you feel that the density of your hair is decreasing and that your scalp is lightening, it is time to go to the dermatologist.

Some factors that increase the fall:

  • Stress and anxiety.
  • Age. As we age it is natural for our hair to weaken and fall more.
  • Certain medications.
  • The postpartum period, menopause and other stages that involve hormonal changes.
  • Some diseases such as thyroidism or hyperthyroidism.
  • Diets that involve a lack of nutrients such as proteins, iron or biotin.
  • Scalp problems.
  • Abuse aggressive hair treatments such as dyes, straightening or chemical ingredients.
  • Also the excess heat from dryers and irons.
  • The continued use of hairstyles that are too tight or tight.

How to prevent hair loss?

Being a natural process, you cannot prevent your hair from regenerating.

What you can do is pamper it so that it grows healthy and strong and looks soft and shiny.

As?

  1. Apply 3 or 4 drops of jojoba and hemp capillary serum on the scalp before each wash.
  2. Massage with it jade massage comb to stimulate your scalp and make more nutrients reach the hair bulb.
  3. Wash normally.

Another effective trick is to hydrate your hair the same way you hydrate your skin: every day.

To do it you just have to heat a couple of drops of the hair serum rubbing your hands together and applying it.

By now you have surely realized that cutting the ends so that your hair grows longer is a false myth.

It will look healthier and more beautiful, yes, but the determining factor in growth is the root.
